Welcome to Artistically Adjacent where creativity meets everyday life, and perfection is definitely overrated. We create handcrafted pieces that are both beautiful and usable, designed to bring a little unexpected joy to the things you use every day. Since we love spending time in the kitchen and around the table, many of our creations naturally find a home there too — from aprons and flour sack towels to table linens, napkins, blankets and one-of-a-kind coasters that make entertaining a little more colorful.
Chunky Knit Blankets
These were what started it all off! (see Our Story for more about how) We use 100% Polyester Jumbo yarn to create the softest most cozy blankets around.
The fun is mixing colors and stitches to vary the look and feel of these blankets. And who doesn't love a blanket that has a cool name like "Ship Shape", "Spruce it Up", "Walking the Bog" or "Gerbil Party"? (yes, Gerbil Party...don't ask).
We mostly stock blankets during fall, winter, and spring but can do custom orders anytime. Just let us know!
Ice Dyed Garments and Home Goods
What truly brings our pieces to life is the magic of ice dyeing. Using 100% cotton fabrics, layers of ice, and vibrant Dharma Fiber Reactive Procion dyes, each item transforms in its own completely unpredictable way. Sometimes the patterns look like blooming flowers, swirling stone, watercolor landscapes, or something entirely unexpected. The truth is, the ice does most of the artistic work — we just set the stage. That’s why we call ourselves Artistically Adjacent.

Porcelain Coasters
Coasters can be a lot of things. They can protect your furniture from heat and water. They can show off your personality or your favorite catch phrase. They can add another element to your table presentation or drink display. They can hold down napkins when you are sitting outside. (just came up with that one).
With all of this in mind, we create our coasters so they are heat and water resistant in an array of designs. Cute, funny, elegant, pretty, cheeky...we've got them all. We hand make them out of porcelin tiles so they are smooth and won't have your beverage sitting precariously. Beverage safety is truly important.
